Our Mission

Your Health is Our Priority

Da Dao Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Clinic originates from a dream return the 5000-year-old life science of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to its original path and to help people in the most simple yet vibrant way.

TCM is a medical system rooted in Chinese traditional culture, with theoretical foundations including concepts of Yin-Yang, Five Elements, meridians, and organs. Emphasizing a holistic view, TCM regards the human body as a complex ecosystem closely related to the natural environment. Diagnostic and treatment methods in TCM include observation, listening, questioning, and pulse palpation, aiming to differentiate patterns and provide treatment based on syndrome differentiation.

Based on the complete theoretical system of TCM, treatment modalities mainly include Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping therapy, gua sha, tuina massage, pediatrics, guiding, and fumigation. The goal is to adjust the balance of Yin and Yang and the functions of the internal organs, thereby treating diseases and promoting health. From simplicity to complexity, it is suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds, even becoming a lifelong pursuit for some.

As a Chinese immigrant in New Zealand, Mandy Wang is realizing her dream of TCM through Da Dao Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Clinic, offering authentic TCM services to those who are destined to receive them.

Located in the Browns Bay Professional Medical Center, the clinic boasts a beautiful environment and comprehensive facilities. It is managed by TCM practitioners who graduated from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, specializing in clinical TCM. With a foundation in expertise and a commitment to quality service, the clinic serves patients wholeheartedly, with broad compassion and a pursuit of excellence, adhering to the virtues of medical ethics.

After years of practice, our clinic has gained a favorable reputation, which is the best praise for us.

Da Dao is simple yet profound, never forgetting its original intention. Benevolence is like water, accommodating all things.

What We Provide

Our Services

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a general term for acupuncture and moxibustion. Acupuncture refers to the practice, guided by traditional Chinese medicine theory, of inserting needles (typically fine needles) into the patient’s body at specific angles and using techniques such as twisting and lifting to stimulate specific points on the body to achieve therapeutic effects. These insertion points are called acupuncture points or acupoints for short. According to the latest acupuncture textbooks, there are a total of 361 acupoints on the human body.

Tuina (Massage)

Tuina (Massage): In traditional Chinese medicine, tuina involves using the hands to apply techniques such as pushing, grasping, lifting, pinching, and kneading along the body’s meridians and acupoints for therapeutic purposes. Tuina is a non-pharmaceutical, natural therapy and a form of physical therapy. It typically involves the practitioner using their hands on the patient’s body surface, injured areas, uncomfortable regions, specific acupoints, and painful spots. The diverse techniques and forces, including pushing, grasping, pressing, rubbing, kneading, pinching, pointing, and patting, aim to unblock meridians, promote the flow of qi and blood, alleviate injuries and pain, expel pathogenic factors, support the body’s upright energy, harmonize yin and yang, and prolong life.

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) refers to medicines that are collected, processed, and prepared under the guidance of traditional Chinese medical theories. These medicines have their mechanisms of action explained and their clinical applications guided by these theories. TCM can effectively treat COVID-19. In short, TCM refers to substances used under the guidance of TCM theory for the prevention, treatment, diagnosis of diseases, and for their rehabilitative and health-preserving effects. TCM primarily derives from natural medicines and their processed products, including herbal medicines, animal-derived medicines, mineral medicines, and some chemical and biological products. Since most TCM consists of herbal medicines, there is a saying that “all medicines are based on herbs.”
